About Meghan Chawla

Meghan approaches family law with empathy and a solutions-focused mindset. Through her work with individuals and families navigating emotionally difficult circumstances, Meghan developed a commitment to helping clients move forward in a way that supports healthier relationships and individualized outcomes. She views the law not simply as a legal process, but as a tool to help families restructure and rebuild during times of change.

While pursuing her Juris Doctor at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, Meghan has been actively involved in student leadership, serving with both the Family Law Society and the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association, as well as acting as a peer mentor to fellow students.

Meghan has experience in civil litigation, immigration law, and family law. Her work with clients facing challenging life transitions strengthened her interest in family law and reinforced her dedication to advocacy centered around understanding each client’s unique circumstances.

Prior to attending law school, Meghan lived in Northern Nevada where she supported individuals navigating family law and landlord-tenant matters. This experience sparked her passion for advocating for families interacting with the legal system.

Community Involvement & Advocacy

Meghan has remained active in community-focused initiatives and service projects throughout law school. She participated in the Clinic for Asylum, Refugee, and Emigrant Services where she represented a client in a custody matter connected to immigration proceedings and assisted clients with various immigration-related issues. She has also conducted volunteer research related to child abuse reporting in Pennsylvania and volunteered with the Philadelphia Lawyers for Social Equity’s Pardon Project.


Outside the Office

Outside of her professional and academic commitments, Meghan enjoys yoga, exploring the East Coast, spending time with family and friends, and discovering new coffee shops where she can relax and read.
