Riley will begin hosting a series of classes to help individuals navigate the divorce and custody processes with an emphasis on wellness. Through these classes, the boutique Family Law firm is working to change the dialogue about divorce and custody to one that envisions these processes as part of an empowering life re-design. Jennifer J. Riley, Esq., Named Business Person of the 2022 by the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Montgomery County

The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Montgomery County honored Attorney, Jennifer J. Riley as the  Business Person of the Year at its Annual Awards Celebration on December 14, 2022 at The Manor House at Prophecy Creek.

The Chamber’s Board of Directors selected Attorney Riley to receive this award in recognition of her success as a business leader and the many contributions and volunteer activities for which she is engaged within The Chamber’s service area.

The Law Offices of Jennifer J. Riley serves families in the greater Philadelphia area, with offices in Blue Bell and Wayne, Pennsylvania. Kimberly A. Dudick, Esq., Moderates 2022 Toby L. Dickman Family Law Seminar

The Law Offices of Jennifer J. Riley is honored that the Montgomery County Bar Association’s Family Law Section has selected our Supervising Attorney, Kimberly A. Dudick, Esq., to serve as Moderator for the 2022 Toby L. Dickman Seminar on November 2, 2022. Attorney Dudick also helped plan this popular, annual gathering of our region’s Family Law practitioners, which pays tribute to the memory of the late Hon. Toby L. Dickman, who dedicated her remarkable legal career to helping families, children, and victims of abuse.

As Moderator, Attorney Dudick led a panel discussion entitled, “Two’s Company, Three’s a Crowd,” which explored procedural, ethical, and legal issues related to Third Party involvement in Family Law matters. The Honorable Daniel J. Clifford, and Hearing Officer Caren Morrissey were among the distinguished speakers.

Madison R. Cooper, Esq., Joins the Firm as an Associate Attorney

The Law Offices of Jennifer J. Riley congratulates Madison R. Cooper, Esq. for joining the Firm as an Associate Attorney, which she achieved following her recent success on the Pennsylvania Bar Exam and her subsequent admission to the Pennsylvania Bar. In attaining her current position, Attorney Cooper continues her distinguished service with our Firm, which she began more than a year and a half ago when she joined us as a Law Clerk while a law student.

Attorney Cooper graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina School of Law with a Children’s Law Concentration, focusing her studies on both Family Law and Education Law and serving as Staff Development Editor for the Journal of Law and Education. She was awarded the 2021 Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award for her work as a Probate Court Guardian ad Litem and the I.M. Goldberg South Carolina Bar Foundation Award for showing promise in the field of Family Law.

Attorney Cooper’s comprehensive Family Law practice includes matters of divorce, property distribution, custody/co-parenting, support, and securing protection from abuse. She also skillfully represents people through the process of choosing their own legal names and those of their minor children. In addition, Attorney Cooper has special interest, training, and experience in championing the legal rights of children, not only in Family Law matters, but also in Special Education, guardianship, and other vital areas.

Cassidy Heiserman, Esq., Joins the Law Offices of Jennifer J. Riley

The Law Offices of Jennifer J. Riley is pleased to announce that Attorney Cassidy Heiserman has returned to the growing Firm as an Associate Attorney. Attorney Heiserman started working for the Firm as a Law Clerk in May 2019.

Cassidy received a B.A. in Criminology and a B.A. in Women’s Studies from the Pennsylvania State University in 2018. She went on to graduate summa cum laude from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law in 2021. As a law student, Cassidy participated in her school’s Civil Litigation Clinic, where she represented low-income individuals in Protection for Abuse and Custody matters.

After graduation and before returning to the Firm, Cassidy worked as a judicial law clerk in Cumberland County New Jersey, Criminal Division. She helped draft judicial opinions and served as a mediator in civil cases.

Jennifer J. Riley, Esquire, inducted in the Souderton Area High School Alumni Association Hall of Fame

The Souderton Area School District and Alumni inducted Attorney Jennifer J. Riley to its Association Hall of Fame on Friday, September 16, 2022. After a ceremony, the school also honored Attorney Riley at the Souderton Area High School Homecoming football game on October 7, 2022.

As the Souderton Area High School Alumni Association explains, induction into their Hall of Fame “recognizes graduates for their outstanding contributions to society through significant career accomplishments and/or community service.” In this way, the Hall of Fame not only honors its inductees, but also provides role models for the current and future students in the School District.

Josh Kershenbaum Elected to Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Council of Mediators

Riley is proud to announce that our Senior Counsel for Alternative Dispute Resolution, Josh Kershenbaum, has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Council of Mediators. PCM is one of the most well-respected and longstanding proponents of Mediation in Pennsylvania, drawing from all sectors of the dispute resolution community, including non-profit organizations, government agencies, business, law firms, academia, the Judiciary, and individual Mediators. PCM promotes networking, professional development, and training to support those who facilitate the peaceful resolution of all types of disputes, from family law matters to business contracts and administrative proceedings.  PCM also supports legal scholars and others who are engaged in research on conflict management and leads the discussion on credentialing for Mediators in Pennsylvania.

In joining the PCM Board, Josh brings over 20 years of experience and expertise in the areas of education. special education law, Mediation and Collaborative Practice. At the Law Offices of Jennifer J. Riley, Josh devotes much of his time to helping parents of people with special needs navigate their divorces through Mediation and Collaborative Practice. He also helps parents, students, school districts, and higher education institutions resolve conflicts through Mediation. A dedicated Peacemaker, Josh earned certifications in both Negotiation and Mediation at Harvard Law School’s Program on Negotiation and completed additional training through the Good Shepherd Mediation Program. Josh trained in Divorce & Family Mediation at the acclaimed Mosten Guthrie Academy with mediation luminaries Forrest (“Woody”) Mosten and Susan Guthrie. He is a member of the Collaborative Law Professionals of Southeast Pennsylvania, the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, and the Pennsylvania Council of Mediators. Riley is pleased to announce that Attorney Josh Kershenbaum has joined the growing Firm as Senior Counsel in the Firm’s expanded Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) division. Attorney Kershenbaum is a former litigator who moved from litigation to mediation in an effort to help families find peaceful and amicable solutions in family law.  He focuses on helping people create efficient, cost-effective, compassionate divorce resolutions, always without adversarial litigation. Attorney Kershenbaum also mediates matters other than divorce and has extensive experience working with families with special needs.

Attorney Kershenbaum earned his law degree, cum laude, from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law and is a magna cum laude graduate of Amherst College.

The Law Offices of Jennifer J. Riley was recognized as the Woman-Owned Business of the Year by The Main Line Chamber of Commerce.

Attorney Riley earned her B.A. and M.A. at Villanova University, and completed her J.D. at Temple University, Beasley School of Law.  After work at a respected firm, Attorney Riley opened her law offices in 2013, growing from a small solo practice to a team of five attorneys.

The firm focuses on Family Law, including Divorce, Child Custody, Child Support, Alimony, Protection from Abuse, Prenuptial Agreements, Postnuptial Agreements, Spousal Support, Adoption, and Grandparents’ Rights. Attorney Riley is a co-author of Custody Law and Practice in Pennsylvania, as well as Drafting Marital Settlement Agreements, both publications of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. She authored “High Tech Cures for the Low Budget Case” for the American Bar Association and is a frequent public speaker at schools and local community events on the “Economics of Divorce” and Navigating the Family Law System”. Co-Author and Presenter of Pennsylvania's Bar Institute - Drafting Marital Settlement Agreements

Jennifer J. Riley, Esquire, owner and managing attorney of Law Offices of Jennifer J. Riley PLLC, was invited to co-author the 2020 Pennsylvania Bar Institute's book on Drafting Marital Settlement Agreements and also teach CLE classes regarding the subject matter.

Jennifer considers it an honor to be chosen to speak as an inspirational leader of her fellow attorneys.  This event provided Jennifer with the opportunity to advise other attorneys on the legalities of Marital Settlement Agreements and how they are viewed in the court of law.
