How long will my divorce take?

  • The length of divorce proceedings is dependent on the specific facts of the case, including the level of conflict between the spouses, the value of the marital estate, and whether the parties have children. Some divorces may resolve as quickly as months, while others may take years.
How much will my divorce cost?

  • The cost of divorce varies based on the circumstances of each case, and clients are able to control the time and costs associated with their divorce. For example, settling the case without the need for litigation will save a significant amount of money.
How is the property divided?

  • In Pennsylvania, property is divided during Equitable Distribution. Equitable does not mean equal. Generally, all property acquired during the marriage is marital and subject to equitable distribution, regardless of which spouse acquired the item. Property acquired prior to the marriage and after separation may be excluded from the marital estate.
